In violation of the Islands Trust Act, the current Galiano Island Trustees have repeatedly obstructed B.C. Parks in its efforts to expand local provincial parks and secure a long-awaited public road access to Dionisio Point Park.
Minister of Forests directs: there WILL be homes
BREAKING NEWS in NOVEMBER 2011: The Minister of Forests confirms in a Ministerial letter, what the Ministry of Forests has been saying all along: there is NO exemption from Provincial Legislation. Trustees must ensure their actions are those of cooperation, not confrontation, with Provincial law, for the betterment of Galiano's place (parks, trails, and roads) AND people, our Island families!

ALERT! DO YOU HAVE PROPERTY on GALIANO?
Most of the people we talked to had not been told by the trustees how the many bylaws added to our old OCP (there is no new OCP) will impact them. Do you have to see the new bylaws to believe it?.. And if you have waterfront property, there are many things you have not been told by the Trustees.
